4. Overall Course Explanation.
Clean blue water and green pine trees on the precipice close to the
valley form a wonderful and unforgettable sight and beautiful rocks remind of
an Oriental painting. Danyangcheon (Stream) already takes pride in the quantity
of water and considerable width in front of Murangol (Valley), the entrance of
Hwangjangsan (1,077m altitude). There is few limited hike course at
Hwangjangsan Mountain which is the most popular Ansaengdal course to hikers
rounding total 5.6km form the Ansaengdal Village and back to the same starting
point. We could broadly make three division of the complete hike course as 1st section
from Ansaengdal Village to Hwangjangsan Summit, 2nd section from Hwangjangsan
Summit to Jageunchagadjae Hill and 3rd section from Jageunchagadjae Hill to
Ansaengdal Village. First Section is to ascend through somewhat steep uphill
road, especially long inclined stairs, Second Section to walk through
comparably easy and mild ridge road and Third Section to downhill through mild
steep road. When started to ascend the First Section at Ansaengdal Village, it
was a bit cold temperature, minus 9 degree C and carefully checked course map
and took decision circulating from right to left as indicated at the map. I was
walking on the course road at the Ansaengdal Village for about a quarter
minutes and found first landmark stating as 2.4km to the Summit and 4.2km to the
Jageunchagadjae Hill which is standing at fruit field. I turned right at the
landmark and continuously climbed on the valley for about half an hour and
reached 2nd landmark stating as 1.4km to the Summit and 3.2km to Jageunchagadjae
which is at about middle of the First Section Course. I was keeping walking on
steep and rocky road for another half an hour and met long and steep wooden
stair road for 10minutes more and saw third landmark standing at just below the
Summit which left only 300m to the Summit. I tried to continue to move up
through stairs and realized it was so hard to walk because of so severe wind
blow containing fine dust. Therefore I took protective dust mask and kept on
moving up for about 20 minutes and finally touched down Hwangjangsan Mountain Summit
elevating as 1,077m altitude and quickly looking around the Summit as see at
the photo and video. I took a left road for downhill and started to walk and
found snow on the ridge road are thicker than 1st Valley Course and
still slippery. I was walking down on ridge road very carefully and reached
Observation point and left around view picture as photo and video. I moved down
on this ridge road for about half an hour from the Summit and reached Jageunchagadjae
Hill where I saw landmark stating as 1.3km to Ansaengdal Village through somewhat
sloped downhill road. I returned Ansaengdal Village after about half an hour from
the Jageunchagadjae Hill. I delete “Access Article and so retailed Explanation
of Mountain” because it would be too long and much for the reader which may
make the reader tired. If anybody like to know more details, please leave message
at the comment frame which I will response to these comments or questions
soonest.
