Life is a different Wave moving by Time and ending at Shore: Best Korean Brand Car Seller Last Year in 2017 in Korea- Information

Number of sold Korean based on end of December last year car has been officially announced which means five domestic auto manufacture’s result in 2017. Which model is the best seller in 2017?

Hyundai Motors has sold 680,900 cars last year which is the best car seller and 44.45% market share and 3% increase comparing to that in 2016. While KIA Motors sold 520,000 cars last year which is 2nd best car seller position and about 10,000 cars selling decrease. GM Korea has last year sold 130,000 cars which is decreasing more than 47,000 cars comparing to that in 2016. Ssangyong Motors has sold 106,000 cars last year which is somewhat increasing comparing to that in 2016. Renault Samsung has sold barely more than 100,000 cars last year which is dropping about 10,000 cars comparing to that in 2016 and positioning last seat.

Tivoli, Ssangyong small SUV model is still keeping first best seller position, even launching time somewhat longer time passing in case two major car band, Hyundai and KIA are excluded. But They have been hardly starting to compete against Hyundai KONA this year which Hyundai has been recently launching this year.

Chevrolet Spark model, small passenger model has been still leading model at GM Korea which is major lined up production, even less about 10,000 cars than Hyundai Morning model.

SM6, medium class passenger car has been sold with ranking No. 2 position which is higher ranking than KIA K5 model and Chevrolet Malibu model. While QM6, Renault Samsung SUV model has been also welcome to consumers at present. These two models are major lined up model at Renault Samsung factory.

G80, premium medium size passenger car model at Hyundai Motors has been best seller model at Genesis model series which is higher than that of Renault Samsung, SM6 model and KIA K5 model. Hyundai could say G80 is the best and major lined up model at premium car production at their factory.

When we review car model based on market segment, Avante, Hyundai model

is the best seller model at compact car market and Sonata, Hyundai medium class passenger car model is the best seller car and Grandeur, Hyundai sub-large passenger car model is the best seller car at this market last year.

Ssangyong Tivoli SUV is the best seller model at small SUV market and KIA Sorento is the best seller model at the medium size SUV market. While Ssangyong G4 and Rexton are best seller model at the large SUV market.

NIRO, KIA Hybrid car has been recorded as best seller model at Hybrid market and Hyundai IONIC EV model is the best seller cars at EV market.
