Many Foreign Visitors are Fascinated to These??? - Information


Thirteen million foreigners were visiting to Korea last year from mainly from Middle East, Thailand, China, America and Japan. One of Korea Poll surveyed selected these visitors and asked them where they have been, which menu they enjoyed, what they bought for their returning gift. Followings are answer to these questions. Some item is very unexpected by ordinary Korean.. 

1.   Food and Soft Drink
1-1)        Coffee Mix (Ready Mix with Sugar and Power Cream)
Most Korean expect most foreign visitors would choose to buy traditional Korean tea
like green tea or ginseng tea or citrus tea. But many foreigners surprisingly choose to
buy coffee mix which is premixed with sugar and cream power so that they could
immediately drink as soon as they pour hot water to the mix and properly stir for
complete mixing. There are now days many options like less sugar or no sugar or
black or premium band coffee power. Please see the photo.
1-2)            Bibimbab (Mixed Rice)
Jinju's unique bibimbap comes with "yukhoe" -- raw strips of julienned beef. To the west of Busan, Jinju city is home to a variant of the globally popular bibimbap. It is yukhoe -- raw strips of julienned beef -- that distinguishes Jinju bibimbap from the other iterations of this South Korean staple. It comes in a large, bronze bowl, filled with a base of steamed rice, yukhoe, mung bean jelly, steamed bracken, dried seaweed gochujang (a red chili paste) and a few side dishes out freezed sliced meat with this seasoning which is to use. 1-3)            Gimbap (Wrapped with Sea wheat rolling others inside)   
 It is principal idea to wrap steamed rice with sea wheat which is putting other materials inside core like vegetables and slicing squared ham. There are many other ways include some other items inside core like cheese or Bulgogi barbeque or something else depend on each hobby.  Advantages at this menu are anybody could promptly eat the Gimbap with less reasonable price anywhere or any time at convenient so that people could easily carry as lunch box. 2.    Location
2-1) Sowolgil in Namsan
As introduced at drama “Gonghang Ganeungil ( Road to Air Port)”, many foreign visitors have been drawn their interest in this Sowolgil which is beautifully arranged to open view to Namsan Tower and feeling with sentimental atmosphere when you are walking the Sowol under  dropped yellow leaves.  Please see the photo.
2-2) Korea House Village at Ikseondong in Seoul.
The Ikseondong Korea House Village is the oldest Korea House village in Seoul. This is just the location Japanese novelist came across woman main character at the movie “Worst One Day”. This Village is somewhat more affectionate than Korea House at Bukcheon Village which is almost always clouded with many visitors. This Village has been recently known to home and abroad visitors where they are maintaining more traditional Korean style cultures than Bukcheon Village.

3.    Experience Firsthand
3-1) Korean Sauna (Jimjibang)
There is Korean Sauna widely known to many foreign visitors where they would like to experience firsthand with their friends or families. When Poll asked foreign visitor which one is the most impressive during their staying in Korea, fifty three percent of foreign visitors answered Koreas Sauna.              They were provably very impressive against skin Scrubber or massager, different kinds of sauna like red clay room or jade sauna and various food service inside sauna building which are unique style bath and different from any other country. . 
3-2) Temple Stay
Many Temples have started to open their temple to foreigner for the introduction of Buddhist so call as Temple Stay since 2002 World Cup Soccer Game and continuously open the temple to domestic and foreign visitors since then. More foreign visitors than domestic are visiting and staying at temple as Temple Stay which they experience Buddhist life at the temple for limited short times like one week. All visitors have to follow original Buddhist living style at the temple like food, lodging and schedule which are different from foreigner’s ordinary life at their country and found very attractive. Ninety percent of foreigners who have stayed at the temple for the Temple Stay answered the question if they are interested in introducing the Temple Stay to others as “Yes”.    
3-3) Boryeong Mud Festival
This Festival lasted for about 20 years since start opening and one of highest participant ratio that foreigners want to take a part during their visiting. Boryeong sand at Daecheon Beach Resort is originally made with shell particles which is unique in oriental Asia. People criticized one time before the Boryeong Mud was not so hygienic but soon later proved well hygienic for well-being. This mud is collecting at clean beach which is not inclusive any polluted contents.   
4.    Goods  
4-1)  Nail Cutter
This item is also unexpected goods which most foreign visitors bought for their gift when tey return. As Korean, we used easily to buy a good nail cutter at local market. But foreign visitors are impressive for good quality and long life without deformation who have used Korean made nail cutter during their stay. But most Korean does not so much care of nail cutter since many nail cutters are O.K. Anyway many foreigners bought nail cutter “777 brand”.
4-2) Sheet Musk Pack
 Sheet Musk Pack has been originally introduced by Korean which many foreigners are remarkably interested in. Some visitors from China or Japan have bought dozen of pack or sometime hundreds of the packs like sweeping out the musk pack at the shop.  It is known to New Yorker one time as a secret that many Koran always keep their skin with appropriated moisture because they used to use musk pack every day. There is fashioned words in New York as “Monday to Friday Masking”. Foreigners could choose different kinds of musk pack depend on their individual skin character.

Related Menu Photo Attached - 10 of Best South Korea Delicious Dishes - Information


I came recently across CNN report for 10 of Best Seoul Korea Delicious Dishes which was recommended by CNN reporter and found his recommendation would be quite closer to my opinion. I personally disagree to his recommendation as Mom-Guk and Nakji Bokgeum and like to exchange these to Deungshim (Korea Premium Grade Sirloin) preferably cooking on grate with charcoal and Samgyeomsal (Korea Pork Belly) preferably cooking on grate with charcoal. He recommended several restaurant in country side but there are many good and high class restaurants in Seoul or suburbs. Please see more details at his recommendation;  

1. Mugeunji
Hanokjib Kimchi-jjim, in the Seodaemun district of Seoul, is minimally decorated, aside from framed certificates, awards, news clippings, menus and pictures -- all pinned haphazardly to the wall
2. Dak Galbi
Dak galbi is a stir-fried chicken dish from the northeastern city of Chuncheon. Cooked on a large, round hot plate that's built into the table, the dish includes cabbage, rice cakes, onions, coarsely chopped leeks and sweet potatoes -- bathed in a hot, slightly sweet sauce made of red pepper paste, soy sauce and turmeric.
3. Kalguksu
Geum-Ak Kalguksu is a tumbledown restaurant down an alley in downtown Gangneung, on South Korea's east coast.
It's a one-dish joint, and that dish is kalguksu -- a thick, fiery noodle soup that drips delicious violence. Diners sit in 6- by 9-foot cabins with rickety sliding wooden doors. The walls and roof were once white, but now every inch of space is covered in graffiti.
4. Seonji Gukbap
Diners flock to Okya restaurant for seonji gukbap -- a stew with clotted cow's blood.
Mid-morning, a line forms outside small, family-run Okya restaurant inside the Sin-Sijang market in the central-eastern city of Andong.
5. Kkomjangeo
There is a row of simple sheds at one end of the Jagalchi fish market in the southeastern city of Busan. Almost every stall sells kkomjangeo, or grilled hagfish. Cooked alive, unsurprisingly, the hagfish convulse violently as they sizzle on the grill.
This kind of fish wasn't always eaten in Korea. It was the Japanese who harvested it when they colonized Korea in 1910.
6. Jinju Bibimbap

Jinju's unique bibimbap comes with "yukhoe" -- raw strips of julienned beef.

7. Gomtang
The White House restaurant in the town of Naju, in South Korea's southeast, belongs to a disappearing, yet gloriously alive, breed of restaurants.
It's a stubborn old boot that has rejected change. Beef steam hisses from the entrance to the kitchen, where seven women in blue aprons work the gomtang soup vats, rice steamers, cutting boards, kitchen sink and serving trays.
8. Mom-Guk
The food of Jeju island, off the southern coast, is quite different from that found on the mainland. There are more fresh vegetables, and almost no spice at all. The island is home to its own unique dishes, including mom-guk -- a simple pork and seaweed soup. Mom-guk seems to writhe like a trapped serpent inside the bowl as it bubbles, squirms and hisses in front of you.
9. Kongnamul Gukbap
Jeonju city is known for its kongnamul gukbap -- a bean sprout soup.
The southwestern city of Jeonju is known to have the best food in all of South Korea. One of its most famous dishes is kongnamul gukbap, a bean sprout soup.
10. Nakji Bokkeum
Nakji bokkeum -- stir-fried octopus -- is one of South Korea's spiciest dishes.
It is believed to have been invented in a tavern in the Mugyo-dong district of Seoul in 1965 by a grandmother named Park Mu-sun.
Nakji bokkeum quickly caught on. Word spread, and a national favorite was born. Now part of the modern-day Myeongdong district, Mugyo-dong was the most fashionable area in Seoul at the time.

Gochujang (Red Pepper Bean Paste) Pork Belly and How to Make More Delicious - Information

Gochujang Pork Belly (GPB) has been widely and commonly known to Korean as an easy and simple recipe which you could cook at home or outdoor. As explained below, it is the best key how to choose a good port belly first of all and next how to cook on which heating source. 2, More Delicious Seasoning
There are many ways to prepare seasoning for best GPB. But I personally recommend following is one of the best recipe which you could enjoy the best GPB.
2-1) Seasoning Preparation
Gochujang (Bean Red Pepper Paste); 3 spoons, Fermented Plumb; 3 spoons, Soju (21% alcohol drink), Soy Source; 1 spoon, Starch Syrup; 1 spoon and Chopped Garlic; 1 spoon. Please stir these seasoning materials well uniformly and keep it aside.   
2-2) Ripening
Please put uniformly on above seasoning to every pork belly layer by layer and keep it to refrigerator for ripening sometime half day or full day. You could of course cook the seasoned pork belly without ripening process. But taste is acceptable but not so great.

3.  Cooking GPB

 
3-1) it is the best way you cook the GPB on grill with chat coal fire which flavor of chat coal is properly soaking to GPB during the cooking process. If you do not have such charcoal grill, you would use cooking grill running by gas or electric and/or proper cooking pan with gas range or electric range. The cooking pan made by heavy stone pan or heavy iron is better than aluminum cooking pan.
3-2) when you cook the GPB, you should take care GPB for optimum cooking level, not too well-done and not too rare. Color of the pork should be light red without any black burning residue. It is the key to cook to maintain juicy liquid of pork during the cooking works, not drying or burning. Some people used to cook the GPB folding with aluminum foil to avoid possible burning during the cooking.   
3-3) Vegetables should be prepared for folding the GPB and ingredients like lattice, onion, green onion, chines cabbage, raw garlic and so on which you could add or less depend on your hobby. As you know, garlic would be useful for transferring pork nutrition to human body thanks for allicin and chives help for fat disposition.    .  
3-4) if you properly add mineral salt, black pepper and herb on the GPB before the cooking, this will help more delicious taste as well as some role for removing pig smell
4.  Finished and Serving GPB
You should prepare sliced green onion which is bottoming of GPB on the serving dish as see at the Photo. This will boost your taste as well as toping on GPB folding with vegetables and others.

Easiest and Fast Way to Prepare Delicious Beep Bulgogi at Home - Information


There are many different ways which you could make Bulgogi at home. But it would be a key how to easily and simply prepare at home. Followings are one of these many recipes for Beef Bulgogi at home.
1.   Material Preparation
You would better buy the meat which any one among these buy Chuck Roll or Foreleg or Rear Leg. This is for 3 personnel which you could adjust referring to following principal seasoning ratio.
l  Meat  : 600 gr
l  Fresh Onion : 2 pieces
l  Carrot : 1/2 piece
l  Big Green Onion : 1 Piece
l  Mushroom : 3 ~5 pieces
2.   Seasoning Preparation
This is principal guidance how to prepare seasoning for delicious Bulgogi which you could change depend on individual hobby referring to this mixture ratio. Please stir all these seasoning materials uniformly at proper ware like small bowl. If you like sweet taste, you could appropriately add sugar.  
l  Soy Sause : 3 spoons
l  Chopped Garlic : 1.5 spoons
l  Starch Syrup : 1 spoons
l  Sesame powder : 2 spoons
l  Sesame Oil : 1 spoon
l  Chopped Green onion : 2 spoons
l  Chopped Apple : 1 spoon
3.   Ripen for about half an hour
As soon as ready for above article 1 and 2, you should uniformly mix seasoning to meat piece by piece. This sliced meat used to stick together. You have to separate these pieces and touch seasoning to every piece by hand. Please keep seasoned meat at ambient temperature for about half an hour for ripen as well as well soaking seasoning to meat. 
4.   Vegetable preparation
You could now prepare vegetables. Please slice onion 2 pieces and half piece carrot and one big green onion and mushroom. Please keep it ready for cooking which will be added when you cook.  
5.   Cooking
You could the meat with vegetables under cooking grill or pan. Please keep cooked Bulgogi as warm and take under warm condition as possible.    
6.   Final Process. 
You could prepare vegetable side dish lattice, crown daisy or any other vegetables which you fold with Bulgogi for upgrading taste. There is no limitation which vegetable at the recipe. Please add whichever or whatever you like or less or take out.
