Miguji Course at Gangwha Goryeosan Mountain at Incheon City in Korea- Relax and Healing Hike

1. Date and Time : Dec 2, 2018. 10:30~13:30 (3 hours minutes including half an hour break).

2. Location : Gangwha District at Incheon City in Korea.

3. Distance and Course :

Distance is 10.58km starting at Miguji Hill at the Mangwol 2ri at west of Goryeosan Mountain as shown at the Photo and returning to the same location via Nakjobong Peak (Sun Set View Peak) and Goryeo Reservoir.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBuL5TqL6KE

4. Overall Remarks.

It was a main purpose at this hike to take look Nakjobong Peak and Goryeo Reservoir with relax and healing mind which is the biggest at Gangwha Island and so gorgeous and beautiful. There is no course introduction at the course map combining these two destination. Therefore I decided to combine together and starting at the Miguji Hill at the west of Goryeosan Mountain and climbing on somewhat sloped uphill road for about one hour and remotely saw Nakjobong Peak, 341 m altitude and continuously walking on the uphill road for about 20 minutes more and finally touched Nakjobong Peak and could looked down beautiful Goryeo Reservoir as shown at the photo. If I may come on this peak at sun setting time, I felt sure sun set scenery should be much more fantastic and wonderful and promised I should come back here again later soon at the sunset time. I was supposed to take Gangwha Nadeulgil Course 5 to reach Goryeo Reservoir from Nakjobong Peak and walked down to Nakjo Buddha, Jeokseoksa Temple outdoor Buddha and saw so beautiful valley at Nakjobong Peak as shown at the photo and. As I walked through Jeokseoksa Temple road and Gangwha Nadeulgil Course 5 for about one hour, I reached Goryeo Reservoir via junction among Jeokseoksa Temple, Gocheonri Village and Goryeo Reservoir and turned right at the junction. I was walking along side Goryeo Reservoir and so deeply impressive to outstanding nature scenery of Goryeo Reservoir and took a nice view of Goryeosan Summit and Heolgusan Mountain view which are harmonizing with the Reservoir and reflecting at the reservoir like transparent mirror as see at the photo. I returned Miguji Hill as soon as I appreciate exceptional and unforgettable scenery of Goryeo reservoir area. As a conclusion, I believe I have well done relax and healing hike with Miguji Course today.

Adding Hajeom Reservoir to Gangwha Goryeosan Mountain at Incheon City in Korea- Upgrading Hike

1. Date and Time : Dec 2, 2018. 11:00~14:00 (4 hours minutes including half an hour break).

2. Location : Gangwha District at Incheon City in Korea.

3. Distance and Course :

4. Overall Remarks.

It was an intention to do upgrade hiking to Goryeosan Mountain today to add Hajeom Course from previous Goryeosan ó Jeokseoksa Temple Course. I parked the car to Baekryeonsa Temple Parking Lot at 11:00 hour and started to ascend the Goryeosan Mountain through normal hike course and climbed to Goryeosan summit first and turned right to the Jeokseoksa Temple. As I walked about half an hour from Goryeosan Sunmit, I found there was clear introduction board stating as the junction either to 4.3km Miguji hill at straight or 1.2km to Hajeom Reservoir at right. I took right way and kept walking through somewhat bushed downhill road for about a quarter minutes and reached landmark stating as only 600m to Hajeom Reservoir and turned right at the landmark. As I was continuously walking down for another quarters minutes, I reached Hajeom Reservoir which was impressive so clean water and quite with unpolluted fresh and clean air. I really and deeply took maximum breath and walking alongside the Reservoir and saw so many different kinds of winter seasonal birds like mallard, goose, wild duck and so on. I was slowly walking and kept soaking so clean air as much as I could take and took a photo as attached. I saw one beautiful octagonal pavilion somewhere around middle of the Reservoir and took a lunch break there under extraordinary nature scenery and looking down many winter birds. I turned back to the Baekryeonsa Temple Parking Lot via Junction between Hajeom Reservoir and Miguji Hill after 4 hours hiking.
