Youngju means god’s living place as
other name of Jeju Island which was registered as World Nature Treasure, World
Geological Park, Biosphere Reserve and as other 7 Best Natures at the UNESCO World
Nature Heritage. If someone asks us to question which one is the best nature
scenery, we could not so easily answer to this question because there is no
correct answer, all sceneries at the Jeju Island best scenery with different style
and color.

l First Destination Calling As Seongsan
Ilchool : Brilliant Scenery of Rising Sun at East Sea looking at East Horizon
on the Seongsan Ilchool Peak early in the morning before Sun Rise. When you
make somewhat hard hike about one hour for round trip through dense foggy
narrow path at Seongsan Peak, 182m altitude with 600m crater diameter, you
could see great sun rise picture soaring through lower and small peaks and
wonder shaped rocks and stones. Spectacular view of Yellow Red Sun soaring at
middle of the East Sea looks like live monster burning complete sea. It is just
amazing and magnificent light that Yellow Red Burning Sun just rising up the
sea horizon as a symbol of everybody’s hope and passion.
l Second Destination Calling as Sabong
Nakjo : Splendid Scenery of Sun Set looking at Sara Peak in Jeju City looks
like Yellow Red Sun burning and spreading all sea suddenly falling down to the
sea. As you look at this scenery at the Sara Bong Peak, you would see burning
sun and sea as one uniform nature which show you all your life history on this
great scenery like human feeling during your living time span so far as joy,
anger, sorrow and pleasure
l Third Destination Calling as Yeonggu
Choonwha : Picturesque Scenery of Pinch Azealia bloomsome here and there before
snow melt at Halla Mountain summit and Royal
Azealia Full Bloomsome of Halla Mountain Looking it at Bangseonmun in Jeju
City. Yeonggu means god living hill or places which indirectly hint far from
ordinary human living area and less human contamination. Please note Yeonggu
Choonwha means mind appreciation of this scenery rather than eye appreciation.
l Forth Designation Calling as Gyulrim
Choosaek : Late Fall Season Scenery of Beautiful yellow tangerine in Jeju
Island here and there. As you come Jeju Island at late October, you would see colorful
valley burning with red and early snow covering Youngbong (Halla Mountain
Summit) and harmoniously hanging tangerines on the green trees with these
wonderful and so beautiful natures. When you get on the Jeju Seongnae Fort
Castle in old days, you could see these beautiful nature harmony scenery.
l Fifth Destination Calling as Jeongbang
Hapok : Splendid Scenery of Jeongbang Hapok Water Fall cascading directly into
sea looks like silk curtain down from the sky to the waterfall. This waterfall
looks like partly blocking Seopseom Island and Beomseom Island and opening eye
sight widely. Old people had believed dragon god should live in this amazing
wonder waterfall. It was an old story or legend at this waterfall if anybody
goes to the waterfall and take cascading water at bottom, they would soon
recover from their disease. There is another Waterfall nearby which looks like
shape as adult master with his servant, calling as Sojeongbang..
l Sixth Destination Calling as Nokdam
Manseol : Beautiful Sliver Light Scenery of White Snow depositing at Halla Mountain
Peak, 1950m altitude normally maintaining until late May. Halla Mountain means
highest mountain which looks connecting galaxy and possibly pulling down to the
earth. There is a Baeknokdam crater on top, 700m diameter with 100m depth where
many dears were wondering and playing here and there at old days. That is the
meaning and/or reason why people put crater name as Baeknokdam.
l Seventh Destination Calling as Sanpo Joeo
: Beautiful Night Scenery of Many Fishing Boat torching for catching fishes at
dark sea at night. As sea becomes getting dark at horizon, many torching fishing
boat are to start to gathering more and more which looks like full lighting
castle.
l Eighth Destination Calling as Gosoo
Mokma : Relaxed Scenery of Horses and Cows relaxingly plucking grass with Halla
Mountain Background. Jeju Island has been well-known ranches in Korea since old-days
which was directly controlled by Mongol as their important global ranches
during Mongol governing period at Koryeo Dynasty. As one of trace or story for these
ranches, we could presently see Gomajang (old ranche) at South of Ildodong in
Jeju Island where thousand houses (ponies) and cows were putting out to pasture
at that time somewhere grass field, mild slopped at middle of Halla Mountain. It
was known to us Mongol brought 160 ponies to Jeju Island at Koryeo Dynasty and
presently increasing to about 1,400 Jeju horses. But only 200 Jeju horses were
registered and remained as pure Mongol Ponies in Jeju Island which means all
other crossbred ponies.
l Ninth Destination Calling as Yoengsil
Giam : Mysterious View of Wonder Rock Cliff at South West of Halla Mountain
looks like Sprit Room. There is a virgin forest about middle of this wonder
rock cliff which makes more spiritual scenery and fantastic harmony to the
cliff under foggy covering. Please imagine how beautiful natural video and
picture showing this wonder nature cliff with foggy moving some time by time.
l Tenth Destination Calling as Sanbang
Gulsa : Fantastic Nature View Looking Beautiful Seashore through Rock Door at
Sambangsan Mountain. This Mountain, about 350m altitude is situated at Sageri seashore
in Jeju City which looks like helmet. As you hike this mountain about 200m
altitude, you could see Sambanggul cave at South West of this mountain which is
10m wide and 5 m high and Buddha there. We call this cave as Sambang Gulsa. But
this original Buddha was stolled by Japanese during Japan governing time and present
Buddha is restored Buddha referring to original information.
l Eleventh Destination Calling as
Yeongyeon Yabeom : Night Secenry of Joyful Boating at Yongyeon Stream flowing through
two Valleys not far from Yongduam Rock. Yongyeon is a lower Hanchun Stream,
about 200m from Yongduam Rock which meet sea. It is legend story Dragon was
living at this Yonghyeo Stream who was empowered to make rain. People used to
pray to this Dragon whenever drought.
l Twelfth Destination Calling as Seojing
Noseong : Beautiful Scenery of Cheonjiyeon l Cascade falling water from wonder
rocks and Cheonjiyeon River Mouth looking down at Seoguijin Fort (Presently Disappeared
and No Longer Exist). Cheonjiyeon means connecting between sky and earth which
is 12m wide and 22m high and cascading with roaring great sound. This scenery
is a real grate picture.
